My dog's pain meds aren't working. How can I ease his pain at home?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 2 months old | 4 lbs

I've been asking questions bout Harley since last week. vet says it's a disk in his neck and has done something to the spine, that why he can't walk. My husband wanted some last time with him nd brought him home for the weekend. They gave us pain meds called galabatin(spelled wrong) helped the first day, no yulping, ate, drank but now today it's not .he hasn't ate, drank yulping alot more then before. What can I do at home to ease his pain?Can't get him in to be put to rest till Monday. Plz help

You can do some gentle massage to relax his muscles. Using heat on his back may relieve the pain also. Continue the gabapentin as directed and keep him quiet and in a bed or crate as movement may increase the pain.
