When should I give my dog Trazodone to ease boarding anxiety?

I'm boarding my dog for 7 days, vet gave me 100 mg Trazadone to be given 2X day. he weighs 57 lbs. At home 50 MG will relax him into sleep. Should I start giving a time frame before boarding? He growls at attendance, and refuses to go outside for potty breaks. He is a rescue and a boxer Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 57 lbs

Yes I would start a day before taking him in. Let them know the dose you usually use so they don’t over medicate if he’s relaxed with the lower dose.
