Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer (duplicate) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 15 days old | 20 lbs
My 10 week old German shepherd pup plays very hard with his sibling, climbing, etc. I noticed tenderness on one hip joint. He doesn't like it touched much. He nips my hand when I do. Is this something I should worry about? He male, 20 pounds.

He may just be overdoing it and therefore his hips hurt. However , since German shepherd dogs are notorious for having hip dysplasia, he may have an early onset problems related to a possible hip dysplasia issue, although that is extremely rare at this young age. I suggest you regulate his playing time in such a way that he does rest sufficiently and monitor his pain. If the pain does not subside or gets worse, then you should have him checked by your veterinarian,
