Why does my puppy cry and bleed when pooping? Is he in pain?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 20 days old

Hi! I have a 3 month old puppy that was given to me. I noticed for the past 3 days since I got him when he poops he cries. Poop is not hard I help him poop by massaging his back area and today I noticed blood on his poop. I called the owner they said they can't take him back. Someone told me he may have Artesia anus but I was reading about it and it says that there will be no anus. And the puppy does poop with help but he cries when doing so. He tries to bite when I touch his back area

I am sorry to hear that Nubs is so uncomfortable. Back pain, tail pain, hip pain, and of course anal/rectal problems can all cause pain on defecation. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Hopefully, the pain is caused by something that can be corrected. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
