Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 years and 6 months old | 4.45 lbs
Hi, my cat has FIV. I rescued him in early December last year. I’ve noticed ever since then that he does tend to gag a lot but swallows back whatever his body is trying to bring up. I’m wondering what can that be and how can I help him with that?

It's hard to know what it could be, it could be hairballs or general nausea due to various complications of the disease. it's very hard for me to give you any specific advise regarding what to do in this case as i do not know for sure what is causing the symptom. if he starts vomiting then it would be more serious and you would have to take him to the vet for a blood test.
