What is this new pink lump on my puppy's private area?

Hi there, my 8 week old Bernese mountain/golden retriever mix pup has developed a pinkish/red lump right about an inch above her genitalia. It’s hard and looks to had a Center to it, and I would say size wise it’s almost as big as my finger nail. It doesn’t seem to bug her much, only when I bring attention to it does it seem to bug her a bit. She did have a physical examination yesterday by the vet, but it seems to have only popped up today. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 1 day old | 12 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. From the pictures, I suspect that what you are seeing is a insect bite or pustule. I would recommend monitoring it for now and if it worsens, becomes much larger or does not go away, I would recommend having the veterinarian recheck Maisy so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. You can apply a spray such as Malacetic conditioning spray to the area, which can be found online and do this twice daily until it resolves. I hope this helps!
