Crate training my 10 week old Aussiedoodle. His 1st week he’s gotten good at going into the crate at night & when I say goodnight he doesn’t whine much. when I get him up at night to potty, the same thing but he usually falls asleep seconds later. Problem is when I walk away or out of his sight. I’m trying to use clicker training but don’t know how to crate, walk away & then reward in small doses because he loses his mind when I’m out of sight & trying to reward any silence is hard. Help?

There is no need to use the clicker for this. (I'll bet that, if you have children, you didn't use one to reward them when you put them in their cribs at night! Once you know that Sota's potty needs have been taken care of, simply put him in the crate and walk away. Do not look back, or try to shush him, or tell him to be quiet. Ignore any noise from him. Once he learns that his fussing is not going to get him what he wants, he'll stop.
