Pet's info: Dog | Bulldog | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 100 lbs
I have 2 English Bulldogs - male & female 2 years old - sometimes they fight and when they do I separate them in crates because I can't handle it and I don't want them to hurt each other - my problem now is that if I go to put them in their crates at night - even if they have been good all day - they start barking at each other uncontrollably and it takes a while to calm them down - did I screw it up for them in their head?

I would recommend placing the crates in different rooms and also putting them in for short periods during the day such as at mealtimes/for chew treats so they become acclimatised to spending quiet time on their own in the crates and do not have such frought reactions when separated physically but not visually at night time. A certified behaviorist would also be worth considering to deal both with the anxiety at crating and also the agressive behaviors
