Are homemade energy bars safe for my active dog's daily hikes?

Pet's info: Dog | Scottish Terrier | Male | 11 lbs

Hi, im feeding my dog a bar every morning to give him ebergy while we go on hikes i make 1.5 ounces rabbit meat and chickwn feet ground with 1/2 teaspoon of kelp, 1/4 teaspoon chia seeds and 1/2 teaspoon hemp seeds is this ok? And how many times a day can i give him this bar?

This bar is fine to give Trip, but if he's going on long hikes and is very active, a high performance dog food may be better for him. That will give him the extra calories and energy he needs for these long hikes. Royal Canin has a high performance line of food, and you can check that out. The bar should only be an occasional treat.
