Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Male | unneutered | 2 lbs
Hey! I have a 10 week old teacup poodle that weighs 2lbs. I got him about 3weeks ago, 6days into having him I noticed a green pimple with lots of puss in it near his genital area. I squeezed the puss out of it and it had seemed to go away. Today I notice another green pimple which seemed a little bigger than the last. Someone told me that it was a bruise and that I just have to squeeze it out. I would really appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you so much!!!

Congrats on your new puppy! I'm sorry that Bob seems to have pimples in his genital area. Bruises do not contain pus, so these pimples that he has are not bruises if there is pus. I would not squeeze them, as that can cause the infection to spread (pus is a sign of infection). Bob may have a skin infection known as puppy pyoderma, which can be common in puppies. It can be treated by medications from the vet, so I would have him seen by a vet to diagnose if he is suffering from puppy pyoderma and to get medications to treat it.
