My rabbit has damp eyes and nose. Is it snuffles or conjunctivitis?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | unneutered | 4 lbs

I have an albino lop rabbit and I am worried he has snuffles or conjunctivitis.I have looked on the internet but all the symptoms seem far more severe than my rabbit's so I am unsure what to do. He has very small damp patches around his eyes but they are very mild compared to what I have seen online and his nose is damp. Thankyou

It sounds as though your bunny has the beginning signs of a snuffles infection. It is important to monitor Leo to see if the signs become progressively worse. You may want to schedule an appointment with your veterinarian as these types of infections often require antibiotics for treatment. It is also possible that Leo just has an eye irritation, but it is best for your vet to evaluate him.
