My dog's spay stitch is poking out and has a seroma. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 4.03 lbs

Hi there! My female dog was spayed right around 3 weeks ago. She has had restricted activity and a cone on since the surgery. My worry is that, although the wound has for the most part healed, she has a dissolvable stitch poking out of her stomach that seems to have caused irritation and now a small seroma. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thank you.

I would have Mia seen by a vet for this. If this stitch is causing irritation, it may need to be removed to prevent further irritation. It could also cause the seroma to get bigger, so it's best to see the vet today or tomorrow to see if they want to remove the stitch.
