Why is my cocker spaniel snorting, lethargic, and acting strange?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 10 years and 8 months old | 40 lbs

My cocker is snorting like he has distemper or something. I can tell he he not himself. Very lethargic and quite.

Distemper seems unlikely (especially if vaccinated), but Doc seems more likely affected by an upper respiratory tract infection/inflammation. Considering the presence of lethargy, an immediate check up is needed. Antibiotics may be needed.
