Most puppies have blue eyes when they are extremely young. It can take some time for all of the pigment to show up in puppies and change their eyes from the "puppy blue" to their permanent color. If the puppy was older than 8 weeks and there is only one blue eye, then this could be a sign of a problem. Feel free to contact me for a consultation, especially if you would like to show me pictures. I hope this helps!

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This appears (from first glance) to be a very young puppy-most of which have a "blue eye" that may change color as the puppy ages. Without doing a complete opthalmic exam, it is impossible to tell you whether or not your puppy is visual, but given the looks and approximate age it may be nothing at all. If you take your puppy in to your local veterinarian, they will be able to perform a complete exam and give you a definitive answer on visual acuity of your pet. I hope this helps!
