Pet's info: Dog | Bernese Mountain Dog | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 8 months old | 100 lbs

Hello, i have a bernese mountain dog. She is 8 years old. Lately she has been acting different. She lost appetite and she cant control her poop ( with poop she has problems for 2-3 month). When we take her for a walk she is not that energetic as she use to be... she is right now the second week in the heat (period). On her but I found a bump big 3x3 cm (1.1811x1.1811 inch). Should I be worried? Have a nice day, thank you, - Anja

Hi Anja, It certainly sounds like Gaja is not feeling well. Larger breeds tend to age faster. In this breed, we do see cancer especially histiocytic sarcoma. I would be concerned. I am not saying she has cancer but it is a concern. Follow up with your veterinarian as soon as possible to discuss bloodwork , x-rays and a fine needle aspirate of the mass.
