11 week old boxer puppy. When we picked her up from breeder we noticed a slight wheezing when she breathed. After vet visit they diagnosed it as just a cold. A week later she ended up collapsing while eating. Stopped breathing and her heart stopped beating. I knew enough to get her to cough up the blockage and gave her mouth to mouth. Rushed to e.r and diagnosed with fluid in lungs after choking. On lasix and antibiotics and still lethargic and occasional wheeze. Could it be something else?

Severe viral infection or congenital severe underlying heart disease could be responsible for the signs described. Ultrasound and ECG of the heart would be needed to confirm this clinical suspicion (of heart disease).
