My dog's haunches have loose hair and black crust. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Dogue de Bordeaux | Female | spayed | 4 years and 2 months old | 56 lbs

I have a bordeaux dog who has two spots on her haunches with very loose hair wich is easily pulled out. on the root of the clumps of hair black crust sticks to it. she has it semetrical on both haunches. i just noticed it now and i would love to get a response on what to do. From Meadow

These signs are not specific of one possible disease, but in common with many. Differentials are bacterial/fungal infections, allergies and traumatic injuries. I would recommend to try to keep the areas cleaned with salt water bath (10 teaspoosn of salt in 1 liter of water) or betadine/ or hibiscrub solutions. If the signs are not resolving in one week a check up and more investigations and treatment would be needed at your local veterinarian. A picture would definitively help understanding the underlying cause of the signs described. Pictures can be uploaded by requesting a consultation.
