My puppy's paw got into hot tea. Is it burned? What should I do?

My puppie put his paw in hot tea will he be ok?

Poor Scut! It's possible that the tea may have burned his paw, depending on how hot it was. I would recommend examining his paw pads closely - if they look red and sore, or if they have any blisters on them, I would take him to the vet to have this checked. If the paw looks normal and he is not limping or acting painful, then he should be okay :)

I would monitor the area several times a day for signs of his skin having problems. Just like with us, it could blister and even slough off. My dog s managed to pour hot tea over his arm. I've done the cold water an frozen peas etc. He seem s perfectly fine ,but I'm concerned as it is still a burn ,what do I do now ???

I’m not sure if I should take him to vet or not online it says to put neosporn on it and wrap it up, keep him off his feet he went on his first official walk he’s four months and it looks like he burned the bottom of back puppy paws I just wanna know
It looks like it is healing well so I would keep an eye on it to make sure it continues to improve. This time of year any pavement is very hot to walk on especially for tender puppy feet. If you can't leave your hand on the pavement it's too hot for his feet. Get him some booties to wear when the ground is hot so this doesn't happen again in the future.

My cat jumped on my stove after I used it and his paw is burned. I did run cold water on it. Is there anything else I need to do to help it heal?
Ouch! Running cold water on it was smart. Ideally, he should be seen by your vet since the burn looks like it goes through the pad. This could lead to infection. If this is not possible now, keep the area clean and dry. Use an e-collar (cone) on him to prevent licking. A dab of aloe vera gel can be applied a few times daily. Keep the e-collar on so he doesn't ingest the aloe vera. You may want to use shredded paper towels in the litterbox until the paw heals. Monitor for lameness, lethargy, swelling, discharge or odor. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

I walked my dog lucky today it was around 89 degrees and when we came back from our walk I noticed he had white ash on his paws so I got a towel and rubbed it and it looked like a burn you get when you touch something a little too hot but not bleedin
Poor Lucky! Place the back of your hand on the pavement, and if you can't hold it there for five seconds, it's too hot to walk him. It does sound like he may have burned his paws on the walk, and I would limit his walking for now to allow his paws to heal. When you do walk him, do it on grassy surfaces. Keep him inside as much as possible. You might consider getting him doggie booties to protect his paws when walking. I'd leave his paws along for now, keep an eye on them. If they appear infected (red, swollen, warm to the touch), then I would take him to the vet. I hope this helps!

My cat licked some tea that was still hot and I think he's burnt his to give a little bit. He's still happy and playful but is there anything I should do?
If he is drinking water and eating fine, he is likely ok. If he is not eating or wanting to drink, he may have sustained burns in his mouth and in that case, I would have him examined by a veterinarian. However, I'm sure he will be fine. So keep a close eye on him and if you notice any changes, I would then take him in to be seen by a veterinarian. I hope this helps! My dog put his paw on the hot stovetop element but isn’t limping or whining. He’s walking on it perfectly fine. We took him outside to cool it off in the snow just in case but we aren’t sure if we should take him the a vet in the morning or not.
Hello, thank you for tour question about Sky. Based on the photo you provided and the description I suspect that Sky did not experience any trauma or burn injury to his paw. Some symptoms of burn injuries include sensitivity of the area, limping, or ulceration of the skin. I would recommend continuing to monitor Sky for development of any of these symptoms. Additionally I would prevent Sky from licking the area as this may predispose it to an infection, you may need to use an ecollar or a sock over the affected paw. If Sky develops any concerning symptoms I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian. Hope this helps!

Spot touched my heater with her left front paw I know it burned her. She still walks on it and wrestles the other cat. Should I put anything on it ? I don't see any blister or anything yet.
Hi, It sounds like Spot was lucky, as there is no limping or any lesions, so it is possible that it was very mild burn which generally limited to minor pain and in most cases also redness. Contact burns from hot surfaces are usually obvious from their onset but may take 1-2 days to fully appear in some cases. For now just monitor that she is not showing signs of discomfort and pain such as lameness or licking the paw and watch the the appearance of the paw for damage more than redness if any of these signs develop take her to your vet.

We had my corgi in the pool and around the yesterday and her paw pads got burned or something. She won’t walk in the grass and kinda limps.
Owie. This looks like her paws were burnt or got into some acid or lye. This is very painful and you should have this examined by a vet. He will likely prescribe some silvadene ointment and antibiotics to prevent infection as well as pain medicine. If she is very painful, I suggest you take her to a pet emergency room where they will likely bandage the feet with antiseptic ointment. If you think she is not so painful you can put socks on him to protect the paws until you can see a vet.

My dog got burt with boiling water. Him and my son were splashed. My son is fine but my dog doesnt seem to be. I need to know how ro help him. His foot ia swollen. He did great with cool water but refuses ice packs. Here is a pic
Cold water is the best remedy in the first couple hours, after that i recommend a special cream for burns with Silver sulfadiazine in it, you can usually get it from any pharmacy over the counter. if it becomes severe and very painful a vet visit will be require urgently.

Hello, My dog has a minor burn that appears red that is on one of her paws in-between her toes, I have an appt to see her Vet tomorrow at 8PM, but I was wondering if there is anything I can do until then for her
Ouch! That does look sore. From the picture it does not look infected, however your veterinarian may see signs that I can’t see in a picture. The best thing you can do is to keep her mouth off of it. I know they are a nuisance but I would highly encourage you to put an E- collar (cone) on her to prevent her access to the wound.
