Can my vaccinated 1-year-old dog still get parvo after exposure?

I was wondering if my 1 year old maltipoo can still get parvo? He has all his parvo shots and will get his 1 year shot in June. My friend had a puppy that recently had parvo (Didn't have its puppy shots not one) and passed away. This happen 1 Month ago and he comes to my house sometimes. I was wondering if my dog is immune to it? Sorry if I'm over thinking it but I feel like parvo is everywhere?! Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | unneutered | 1 year old | 13 lbs
