Oh no, poor Buddy! This could be caused by an upper respiratory infection, fungal infection, foreign body, or a nasal tumor if he is an older dog. You can try putting him in a room with a humidifier, or brining him into the bathroom with you when you take a shower. The steam from these may help temporarily relieve any congestion he is experiencing. I would have Buddy seen by a vet in the morning . The vet can diagnose what is causing his difficulty with breathing through his nose, and can discuss treatment options with you.

If he is still unable to breathe well despite medicines he will need a recheck. At his age, it may be nasal polyp or tumor that is obstructing and irritating the sinus cavity cause the sneezing and breathing troubles. They can sedate him and pass a scope or a catheter to flush the sinuses. They can get debris and cells that can be analyzed and cultured to get you a definitive diagnosis. You can try to lay his neck in different positions, on his side, belly, to see which help him breath better by sleeping
