Why is my cat hiding after cancer meds? Is this normal behavior?

Pet's info: Cat | RagaMuffin | Female | spayed | 13 years and 10 months old | 9.4 lbs

my cat has mammary cancer. They gave her pain medication and steroids today. she has been hiding since I gave them to her is this normal. thanks for the help

I'm so sorry Lilo has mammary cancer! Yes, cats can hide after being given medication. She's already not feeling well due to the cancer, and giving her medication (even though it's necessary!) will add some stress as well. I would let her hide for now, and she will come out when she's ready. I certainly hope she makes an appearance soon!
