Why is my cat vomiting grey and passing bloody mucus from his rectum?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 15 lbs

When we woke up this morning our cat iseamint blood mixed with water of mucus out of his rectum. And he vomited a couple times and it was just this grey vomit. I'm going to calm the vet in an hour or so. What may be causing this?

Poor Yoshi! This could be caused by a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It's a good idea to call your vet, and I would have him seen by a vet as soon as you can for this.
