Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 16 days old
Hi I bought a Cocker Spaniel from what i thought was a reputable breeder, i was told the puppy was 8 weeks old.. After i paid for the puppy and i went home, I was going through her paperwork. I looked at the DOB.. and OMG this puppy is barely 6 weeks old.. im like super concerned now, She shouldnt have been taken away from her mother that early.. would it be okay for me to give her puppy formula or is kbble and soft dog food okay

What a shock for you! I would hope that Remy is fully weaned, but to make sure that she is used to dry dog food, you can give her a puppy mush. I would soak a high quality puppy formulated dry food in warm water until soft. Then mix that with puppy formula such as KMR to make a mush the consistency of oatmeal. Over the next two weeks, gradually increase the amount of dry puppy food and decrease the amount of water and KMR you use until she is eating the dry puppy food only.
