My dog threw up, no bowel movements after bland diet. Is it normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My 1 1/2 year old beagle mix threw up 3 times in two days. We put him on a bland diet and he seems okay now. It's been about 24 hours with no vomit (yesterday was just foam not vomit). Now bowel movements seem to have stopped. Should I be concerned?

IF he has not been eating regularly during these past couple days, then it would be normal for the bowel movement to stop for up to 48 hours. if he is on chicken and rice, this could cause slight constipation as well.
