My dog yelped when picked up under armpits. Why is she in pain?

My dog was picked up under armpits area about 2hrs ago and she yelped. She has been yelping within that area ever since then and even when you try to move her. What is wrong with my baby? She is 2yrs old. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 1 month old | 39 lbs

It could be a muscular injury or sprain. I would leave the area alone and monitor for the next few hours, if she seems to be in discomfort best to have her checked over so can get some pain relief . If she is already in quite a bit of pain best to have her checked over sooner rather than later.
