My dog picks at food & gained weight. Is this normal for his age?

Finn used to eat all his food and scarf it down. He now picks at it here and there throughout the day. Is this just the transition to being older? He has gained weight since I got him in November, 20lbs. He was skinny and now he filled out. Pet's info: Dog | Black Mouth Cur | Male | neutered | 6 months and 3 days old | 56 lbs

If he otherwise seems healthy and has gained weight appropriately than it just might be normal for him. He may have ate it all fast when your first got him because he was underweight and not sure if he would get fed again. You could have your vet examine him to make sure there isn't a dental problem, if you are concerned.
