My dog has lumps. What's the cost for removal and payment options?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 10 months old | 80 lbs

My boxer dog will be almost 6 in two months. He has a hairless pink bump on his right arm. And a lump on his left elbow, there is still hair the lump is just under his skin. I want to know how much the procedure will cost me. I am a college student and will have to do payments.

Costs will vary by geographical location. After an initial exam, typically $25-$50, the veterinarian will be able to provide an estimate for services. A fine needle aspirate can be done on the lumps to collect samples for pathology. Once results are received, the lump can simply be monitored or they may need surgical resection. Do not hesitate to request an estimate. Most clinics will provide one as a matter of hospital policy.
