Pet's info: Dog | West Highland White Terrier | Female | unspayed | 7 months old | 6 lbs
Hello I have a 7 month old westie earlier this evening she ate her normal dog food; she is a fast eater normally but this time she chocked I had to relieve her to help her breath. Once she calmed down I let her outside and she passed a brown water from her bum. She has done this twice now in the space of 8 hours what should I do?

I would get Phoebe a slow feeder bowl. This is a bowl that is designed to keep a dog from gulping down their food. You can find them online and in pet stores, and I would get one for her first thing tomorrow. As for the brown water from her bum, it sounds like she has diarrhea. This could be caused by an upset stomach, and I will give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet.
