Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed
After a heavy storm, I woke up and noticed my dog's left eye had a rheum discharge and her eye was shut, but when she opened it it was completely clouded. She's still active, playful, with good appetite but she rubs a bit over her eye and the sun seems to bother her. We washed her eye out with chamomile tea and applied an ointment that contains Oxitetraciclina and Polimixina B so there is no discharge from her eye. What could it be, is it curable, how can i treat it? Will it go back to normal?

It could be that Hershey has a severe eye infection or could have suffered trauma to the eye. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency and should never be treated at home. That's because leaving it untreated or attempting home treatment could go very wrong and lead to vision loss. I would take Hershey into the vet immediately. The vet can determine what is causing the eye problems, will let you know if it can be cured, and can prescribe treatment for it.
