Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 lbs
Hi there, I live on my parents' farm with friendly barn cats. We feed them and recently got them fixed. During their recovery, we had them inside, which they seemed to enjoy. However, we noticed they only peed in their litter box. We did not find any poop. I'm considering moving and would like to take one of the cats with me, but I'm worried they won't feel comfortable enough to poop in my apartment. Any tips or advice? Thanks.

Because the cats still have access to the outside, that's probably why they are pooping outside. If Tipper is kept inside all the time, she will likely use the box without problem. I would have two litter boxes in your new apartment for her, clean them daily and change the litter once a week. Since she already uses the box to pee, it will be a natural transition to use the box to poop in.
