What can I stuff in my puppy's Kong toy besides Kong treats?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 4 months and 3 days old | 57 lbs

I have bought a KONG puppy dog chew toy.. It would be great to know what sort of treat I can put inside it. Here, I'd like to mention that the KONG treats are currently unavailable in my country. So considering the age of Ghontu, what all can I use as treats inside the Kong chew toy?

Great question! There are lots of things that you can put inside a Kong toy for puppies to chew on. Personally, I like peanut butter for this purpose, or canned puppy food - you can also freeze the Kong after stuffing it, so that it takes longer for Ghontu to get the food out. You can also put her regular kibble inside, then put a bit of peanut butter over the opening to seal it in. The Kong company also has a number of suggestions on their website for things that can be put inside for dogs to eat - you can check out their recipes here: https://www.kongcompany.com/recipes/
