Why are my Golden Retriever's eyes red, bulky, and look watery?

My Gold Retriever's eyes look bulky and there is a clear wring on the bottom half of both eyes, as though it has liquid between the sclera. What can be the cause? She started with red eyes. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 72 lbs

Sophie could have injured her eyes or could have a severe eye infection. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it is considered and emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Sophie into a vet now, who can diagnose what is caused her eye problems so she can be treated.
