Why does my Jack Russell have a soft, painless lump on her leg?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 11 years and 7 months old | 16 lbs

Hello, I have a jack Russell who has a lump about the size of a squash ball on her left back leg. You can push it, squeeze it and it does hurt her at all. It happened after we went for a run on a field. She doesn't seem bothered by it at all but I am curious to what it may be. Any help identifying it would be much appreciated.

This lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Jsune to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
