Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 lbs
Hi! I've moved house a few weeks ago with my three female cats (the mother and her two two year old kittens). They have always been outdoors and the new house has a neighbouring outdoor cat. My question is, am I making things worse by chasing off this other cat when they are growling or hissing at each other (they've never actually touched each other)? Should I just leave them be to find their own territory or should I continue to step in? Appreciate the help :)

While it's fine that they growl and hiss at each other, as they are letting this new cat know they don't appreciate his presence on their territory, you don't want it to escalate into aggression and one of your cats get injured. I would keep an eye on their interactions as best you can, and step in if it appears that anyone is going to get aggressive.
