My dog has an eyelid stye. Ointment isn't working. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female | spayed | 2 years and 1 month old | 14 lbs

Pomeranian female, 3yrs.old(adopted) has some swelling on bottom outer eyelid. Seen vet this week, given an opthalmic ointment,but does not seem to do anything. Almost looks like a stye on a human.

Dogs can get styes like humans, and you can try pressing a warm compress on this area for five to 10 minutes at a time a couple of times a day. If Belle does have a stye, this warm compress will encourage it to drain. Should this not help with the swelling after 24 hours, then I would have Belle seen by a vet on Monday.
