How to trap feral cats for TNR if they won't let me touch them?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 8 months and 16 days old

I have 3 strays that were born in my shed. I feed them everyday, but don't know if they're male or female. I was wondering about a TNR program. They are approximately 8 months old. If I can't touch them, how will I trap them?

If there is a TNR program in your area, this would be a great option for getting them spayed and neutered - they are old enough to do this now. To catch them, you can get live traps and leave them out overnight with cat food inside - when they go in to eat, the door closes behind them.
