My dog has a hard lump on his face near his whiskers. What is it?

My dog has a hard lump on his face near his whiskers located above his canine the lump is in his soft tissue though not on his gum and his teeth look sound?

It could be an infected hair foillicle, cyst, or a mass. Have your vet take a look at it to determine the cause. Your vet can do a needle aspirate to help diagnose and then determine if treatment is needed. He may just need an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory to treat.

    Not likely a flea bite - there would be hundreds on his body since fleas bite a lot! It could be an infected follicle, bacterial or fungal skin infection, mites, or a mass like a histiocytoma. I would recommend having Roskoe evaluated by his vet to see what could be going on.
