Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 15 years and 1 month old | 8.8 lbs
We have 15 years old yorkshire terrier. Castrated. Yesterday she peed on the floor and started to tremble, sleept most of the day, we warmed her blanket and in the evening she stopped trembling + we gave her some food and panadol. She had mild diarrhea and seemed to want to defecat more, but wa unable to. Today she didn't defecate at all and by evening we found bulge on her belly, around 5cm long going on her left side down also she started limping on her left leg. Could it be hernia?

Hernias typically don't pop up overnight unless there has been some sort of trauma. Without a physical exam, it is difficult to say if the symptoms are related. It is never recommended to medicate a pet without the advice of your veterinarian. Panadol (paracetamol) can be toxic to dogs. It can cause liver and kidney damage. A thorough exam and blood work by your veterinarian is recommended. This may diagnose the cause of Bara's symptoms as well as assess liver and kidney function.
