Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 1 month old | 12 lbs
My elderly cat passed away recently. I miss her deeply but I have a younger male cat as well. I have room in my heart for another family member. I want to go to the shelter and get another cat around the same age. This cat liked my other cat but wanted to play more than she could handle as she was elderly is it to early to bring in another cat to introduce to him. I want him to have a friend should I get another female or does it matter I'm sure he misses her too.

I'm so very sorry your lost your elderly cat recently, please accept my condolences for your loss. I think getting Stinker a companion would be a great idea, and it doesn't matter if you get a male or a female cat. I bet he will love having another friend in the home, just be sure to introduce them to each other slowly :-)
