My senior dog has lumps and hip pain. Is it time to say goodbye?

Yes, I have a mixed breed large dog! I would say she's some sort of lab mix! She's 13 and she has developed large lipomas all over her! They feel like they have fluid in them, and she is also suffering from bad hips! Do you think I should put her down now, or wait till she stops eating and drinking? She has no problem with that! But I don't want her suffering! She walks really slow like her feet are hurting, but other than that she seems ok!! Please give me your opinion! Thank you, Tracy

Poor Dixie! Lipomas are fatty tumors, so if these lumps feel like they have fluid in them, then they are more likely cysts. As for her bad hips, the vet can prescribe her pain medications to help with those, which will likely make her feel and move a a lot better. I certainly wouldn't put her down if she had treatable problems. I would have Dixie seen by a vet tomorrow to discuss using pain medication for her hips, and to have her lumps diagnosed and possibly treated. I hope this helps :-)
