My kitten gets loose stool when changing food. What's next?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

when I try switching my cats food from whiskas to royal canin kitten( slowly) with very little royal canin in fact, she still gets like a bit loose stool but with whiskas it's normal, so should i still continue giving her royal canin to slowly switch to it completely or should I just continue with whiskas(dry food she has been eating since day 1)

Given that she gets loose stools with even a little Royal Canin, I would try a different food instead. Hill Science diet is great, as well as Purina ProPlan and Iams. If any of them give her loose stools even with switching slowly, then I would stick with the Whiskas only.
