Why does my toy poodle have sensitive, raised grayish scabs on her back?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | 7 years and 11 months old | 11 lbs

Can you tell me what a couple small spots of raised grayish scab on my toy poodle's back could be? Wish I could send you a picture of it. One vet said it looked like psoriasis, but she acts sensitive to the touch. Any ideas?

If you request a consultation, you will be able to share images. The scabs may be local irritation or infection. It may also be a cyst or mass developing. To determine what it is, have Suni examined by your veterinarian. If necessary, a fine needle aspirate can be done to collect a sample for pathology.
