Updated On September 23rd, 2025

hey My cat is a manx breed. I think he is about 9 months old. I picked him up of the streets and do not know what vaccines or shots he has had. He has had blood in is poop and it is almost like diarrhea. When I pick him up his stomach lurches. I do not know if that is usually.

Given that he has been on the streets, he likely has intestinal worms, and will need a deworming treatment. I would have him seen by a vet first thing tomorrow for a physical exam, blood tests, and urinalysis. It may also be advisable to test him for FIV and FeLV since he's been out on the streets. The vaccines he needs includes FVRCP and rabies. He will also need flea treatments and heartworm treatment, and he should be tested for heartworms before getting the heartworm treatment.
