Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 14 lbs
My Jack Russell (shorty) female is 61 days into pregnancy. Her temp has dropped to 97.7 since this morning. The water bubble is right at the opening, but I'm not seeing contractions yet. I can feel the pups moving, but wasn't sure with her temp so low, how long before she should be in full labor? This is her first pregnancy.

Great question! Once her temperature drops below 100F, Bell should give birth to her puppies in 24 hours. If 24 hours pass after the initial temperature drop with no sign of puppies, she will need to see a vet immediately, as she will need help giving birth to them safely.
