My dog may have been exposed to a dead skunk. Do we need to quarantine our dog until she is seen by the vet? We have two small children and are nervous about rabies exposure... Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 50 lbs

No, there is no need to quarantine Ellie. Rabies only passed via a bite from an infected animal, and since the skunk was dead, there's no way she could have gotten a bite from the skunk. It's always good, however to make sure your dog is up to date on all her vaccines, including rabies :-)
