Why is my dog sick, sleeping, and not drinking after the beach?

I need help now!!! My 2 year old maltese dog is behaving weird and looks like she's sick. Today we were on the beach for a walk and she played in the sea and everything was great also she played with some lost dog but he didn't look sick. Now she is just sleeping for 2-3 hours already and she didn't want to drink anything today because she hates driving in car (could that be the reason?) and i even tried to make her drink some water but she refused it. Now shshe really looks ill. Please help!

It could be that she is just exhausted from playing in the sea all day, or she could have drank too much sea water upsetting her stomach. If you are concerned that she looks really ill, then it's fine to have her seen by a vet right away. Otherwise, allow her to sleep, and make sure to leave water out at all times for her. When she's ready to drink, she will have some water. Sleeping for two to three hours isn't much, I'd be more concerned if she was sleeping all day long. If she still isn't drinking water in the morning and still seems ill, you can bring her into the vet for a health check.
