My cat suddenly panted hard with tongue out. Should I be worried?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 11 months old

My cat was getting pet by me all of a sudden she moved away and started panting really hard with her tounge hanging out of her mouth for a good 30 seconds.. then she stopped.. what do I do.. she seems fine now. I am so upset.. is she okay?

I can understand being upset and worried about Maria! It could be that she had a hairball and was trying to vomit it up, causing her symptoms. She may have also been feeling nauseous. I would monitor her for now since she seems fine at the moment. If that behavior continues, or she starts showing problems with breathing, then I would have her seen by a vet right away.
