I'm a high school student wanting to become a veterinarian when I graduate. And I am going into my senior year trying to figure out my schedule. I am able to take Calculus and gain college credit (if I take the AP exam) but I am wondering if I really need calculus to be a vet. I don't want to put extra stress on myself if I can help it but if it is a requirement I'd rather take it in high school rather than college. So I wanted to get a real vet's opinion on this. Thank you, Jordyn

Some vet schools do require calculus as a pre-requisite to apply, but not all vet school. So it really depends on where you will end up applying to. That being said, you still have your undergraduate career ahead of you to get a calculus course if needed and who knows, you may find something else that is more interesting to you than veterinary medicine!
