Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered
My cat (less than 1 year) coughs when he is held upside down. It is a rather dry nonproductive cough that lasts a minute or two and goes away. Should I take him to a vet or is this normal?

If he is only coughing when he is upside down then this could just be an incidental cough. Fluid from his stomach can easily drip down into his throat when he's upside down causing a cough. As long as the cough is not continuous throughout the day I would not be too concerned about this. Continue to monitor Aegon for any random coughing spells throughout the day and take him into the vet if if this becomes an ongoing issue of coughing when he hasn't been held upside down at all.
