Why does my 7-year-old Westie have a weeping, pus-filled lump?

My westie has a little lump that has puss in it iv only just noticed this iv only had her a month and she is 7 years old when I touched the lump the pussy has started weeping

That is likely to be an abscess or potentially a skin cyst which has got infected. Considering her age it is not possible to rule out more sinister causes of it. Unfortunately at least a picture would be essential to determine more specifically the nature of it; otherwise I would suggest a check up as antibiotics are needed (pus may be a sign of infection anyway).
